Skopos Theory and Its Application in the Translation of Chinese Film Subtitles-Take Wolf Warriors 2 as an Example

This thesis, based on the three classical rules of the skopos theory and taking Wolf Warriors 2, a hit film released recently, as an example, analyzes how skopos theory is applied to this film’s subtitles. General Chinese-English subtitling strategies, including domesticating and foreignizing translation, free translation, omission are concluded.
